"Damn, I miss Kat Henry"

First ever blog post title is in honor of Kat Henry for two reasons: 1.) this was her first title suggestion when asked what my blog should be called and 2.)she showed up at my door with a venti caramel macchiato at 7:00 am the day I left greenville just to say good bye. This is the first time in our lives that we will EVER live in two different cities for longer than a summer; it is a very weird thought. I will miss her ( and everyone else!)
Memo to the masses: You too could have your very own Blog Post! (all donations, gifts, letters, etc  merit a blog post, I accept cash and checks)
Moving on:
After about a half an hour of trying to come up with a witty and appropos title for this blog (contenders were the title of this blog post and'Walt's my baby daddy' ) we settled on Captain Karen's Disney Adventure. Last summer during my internship with the Greenville Zoo, I ended up with the nickname of Captain Karen. Though it started as a bit of a joke while I was experiencing a power trip, the name stuck, so I decided to continue the chronicles of Captain Karen's journey through the world of environmental education (and for all you people wondering why I don't go by Dr. Love in a profession that deals frequently with children, you should take a moment to ponder..).
For the past two days I have traveled down to Orlando and hung out with my awesome parents (shopping!Swimming!) and tomorrow will be my very first day. I will be waking up at 6:45 to go move in to my new apartment and check in at the casting building (situated next to Team Disney :P). Updates are on the way!
